He obtained his Hospitality and Hotel Management Degree from the University of Birmingham in 2013 before returning to Singapore to be part of the opening team of Sabio by the Sea with Deliciae Hospitality Management.
Celvin has been working with Executive Chef and Owner of TONO Cevicheria & OLA Cocina Del Mar, Daniel Chavez since 2014. Starting out as an assistant manager in Chavez’s Spanish seafood restaurant OLA Cocina del Mar, Celvin then helped Chavez to open TONO Cevicheria in 2017 – where he is now Restaurant Manager, overseeing a team of 15. Charming and dapper, he is known for for his can-do attitude and resourcefulness.
His interest in hospitality stems from enjoying meeting new people and talking to them. Celvin was bitten by the hospitality bug as an intern with Grand Copthorne Waterfront. The best part of the job for him is getting to explore new and delicious foods and ingredients every day. A lifelong foodie, he has appreciated getting to travel, discovering new countries, peoples and meeting lots of legendary chefs as part of his work
